Coupling (1/2 - 20)
Couplings are pipe fittings that help to extend or terminate pipe runs. These fittings are also used to change pipe size. It’s also used to repair a broken or leaking pipe. Most pipe installations require several lengths of pipe to be joined together or cut to facilitate changes in direction and crossing of obstacles.

Types of Coupling
Npt Thread
NPT threads are a common sight. These threaded connections create a tight seal for pipes, ensuring a leak-free connection. Unlike straight threads, NPT threads have a tapered design, and a sealant, like pipe dope or tape, is used to fill the gaps and create a secure bond.
Bspt Thread
BSPT, or British Standard Pipe Taper Thread, is a type of pipe thread commonly used for connecting pipes and fittings. BSPT threads offer a reliable and secure way to connect pipes in various applications, particularly where pressure is a concern.
Square Thread
Square threads, known for their robust simplicity, are a distinct thread form that excel in high-load applications. This square design maximizes thread contact area, leading to exceptional load-bearing capacity and minimal friction.
Acme Thread
Acme threads are the workhorses of the screw thread world, not for plumbing or high pressure, but for smooth, easy turning and high friction. These threads have a distinctive trapezoidal shape with a flat top and bottom, creating a large contact area.
Flush Thread
Flush threads, unlike their protruding counterparts, offer a smooth, seamless finish. Since they lack the deep grooves of standard threads, flush threads may not be suitable for high-stress applications. The reduced surface area can limit their holding power.
